Goa a tiny state famous for sun, sand and surf, nestles between Maharashtra & Karnataka and is almost equidistant from Mumbai to the North and Bangalore to the South. Endowed with a beautiful sandy coastline to the west and abundant flora and fauna of the western Ghats to the east, this lovely land is a piece of heaven on earth.
Variously described as “Pearl of the Orient”, “Emerald Land”, “Tourist Paradise”, this state of Goa is located on the Western coast of India and forms a part of the Konkan, which as legend has it, has been reclaimed from the sea by Lord Parashurama.
Goa has been for administrative purpose, divided into North & South district with their respective headquarter at Panaji and Margao. Panaji is the state Capital and a centre for all cultural and social activities whereas Margao is the Commercial heart of Goa.
Apart from the beautiful beaches and luxuriant vegetation, Goa has a unique blend of magnificent Churches and Temples. The old colonial mansions bring back the memories of Goa's history as a colony of Portugal.
A multicultural, multi-racial ethnic pot-pourri, Goa displays a singular harmony of various religious communities which have co-existed over the generations in peace & fraternity. Goa is also one of the most developed state in India with a very high literacy rate and an industry friendly infrastructure.
Goa is a favourite tourist destination for the traveler from India and abroad. Its vibrant mix of ethninc culture with a distinct European zest which is reflected in the delectable cuisine, makes Goa a “must visit” for the tourist as well as the businessmen who likes to combine business with pleasure.
